Winds of Change

Sailing on a Sea of Dreams,
The Winds of Change are here.
Dark clouds in the distance,
But they said the Coast was clear.

So back in Nineteen Twenty Eight,
We came and set our sails.
Upon the Ocean’s Stormy Deep,
Among the Fish and Whales.

I’d love to tell a Story,
Of Sailors who ain’t sinned.
But that would be like talking about,
The Waves without the Wind.

And so the Doldrums blew away,
The Storm it came up fast.
Empty Bunks will soon announce,
The men who slipped the Mast.

The Waves were crashing in on us.
We thought it’d never end.
And when the water washed away,
We mourned another friend.

They say that hell is burning,
But not if you ask me.
I’ve come to witness hell on earth,
Upon that angry Sea.
