We rode all the way from the Lake to the City
And I tell you man, what we left wasn’t pretty.
The Radio was broke but we didn’t care.
A couple of wires were just hanging there.
We pulled out an Amp and a Strat from the back,
And wired it up and plugged in the jack.
The Fender was crankin’ and playing the Blues
Driving down the road we had nothing to lose.

Sometimes when I think of the Lake and the City,
We left that place without an ounce of Pity.
But sometimes you know, the bad turns to good.
While everyone else never quite understood.
A show for the ages in the front of a Truck,
And all we could say was “Man, what the Fuck”!
